RCB VS KKR IPL2025 // FANTASY CRICKET PREVIEW.
By- Rishav Date- 17th May 2025
In the 58th match of the Indian Premier League 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face off against Kolkata Knight Riders. After a nine-day break, the 18th season of the IPL is back, with the final scheduled for June 3rd and playoffs starting on May 1st. As we near the end of this competitive season, many teams are still vying for a spot in the playoffs. Currently, Kolkata Knight Riders sit in sixth place with five wins, six losses, and one no result from twelve matches. They still have a slim chance of qualifying if they win all their remaining games and other results favor them. However, they will be without Mooen Ali and De Kock for the rest of the season. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are enjoying a fantastic season, having won eight out of eleven matches, placing them second in the standings. They are eager to secure a top-two finish, setting the stage for an exciting clash between these two teams.
Ground and Pitch Conditions :-
This match between SRH and KKR will be played at M Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru
The surface here will be a balanced one with good help for both pacers and spinners. Both teams will prefer chaisng at this venue.
Thunderstorms and a start-stop game? There's showers in the offing on Saturday evening, but if they're just passing and not persistent, the immaculate drainage system at the venue should ensure a game - truncated or otherwise - happens. There was a forecast for rain on Friday evening too, but it stayed away in this part of the city
Injury and availability news :-
- Royal Challengers Bengaluru : Rajat Patidar batted on two days in the lead-up to the fixture. Mo Bobat, RCB's director of cricket, revealed that the short break in the season helped with the healing process of the hand injury that Patidar sustained at the previous home game, against CSK. Phil Salt also batted long sessions and came through alright after having missed the last two fixtures through illness.
Josh Hazlewood is the only RCB player who hasn't joined the squad as his recovery from the shoulder niggle continues in Australia. - Kolkata Knight Riders : Moeen Ali and Rovman Powell haven't rejoined the squad for the resumption. Mooen, who played in KKR's previous two fixtures, could be replaced by Anukul Roy. Against RCB's right-handed heavy top-order, Ajinkya Rahane could get some key overs of left-arm spin from Anukul.
Manish Pandey had replaced Venkatesh Iyer in KKR's previous fixture. Both spent considerable time in the nets on Friday and it could still be a toss up between the two for a middle-order spot.
